Katsina United midfield star Destiny Ashadi has been declared a major doubt for Saturday’s much-anticipated North West derby against Kano Pillars at the Mohammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina
The 22-year-old star suffered an ankle injury in the Alhan Cup Pre-season Tournament against Wikki Tourists in Kano.
The injury also stopped him from joining the Super Eagles ‘B’ to CHAN 2018 after he was called up by coach Salisu Yusuf.
The former Kogi United star has since then recovered from the injury to resume full training with his team in Katsina.
The team doctor Abu Sufian spoke with the club official website www.fckatsinaunited.com on the availability of the Katsina United star man for Saturday’s big game
“Destiny is fine, but it is advisable not to rush him. As you can see, he has resumed full training with rest of the team and he may not be available because of his level of fitness,” the team doctor disclosed.
“I can categorically state here that he is fit, but not for Saturday’s game. Hence he may not be available for the game.”
Ashadi scored five goals and provided nine assists last season for ‘The Chanji Boys’.
