Katsina United have placed staggering price tags of 22 million Naira on Martins Usule and another 20 million Naira on fellow striker Chinedu Udechukwu who are still contracted to them, but have preferred to train with other NPFL clubs ahead of the new season.
Katsina United chairman Aminu Balele Kurfi told his club’s official website www.fckatsinaunited.com they will fight against clubs who have broken all rules concerning the transfer of players and have rather chosen to poach his players.
He said they have officially communicated to the League Management Company (LMC) their valuation of Usule, who is currently training with Rivers United, and Udechukwu, who is with Enugu Rangers.
“Both Usule and Udechukwu have two years each left of the contract they signed with my club,” Kurfi disclosed.
“That is why their salary payments are up to date as they have been paid up to October.
“We have taken exception to the attempt by some clubs to poach our players and have written to the LMC to mediate on this matter.
“We have also demanded 22 million Naira as transfer fee for Usule and 20 million Naira for Udechukwu.
“These amounts are not negotiable.”
SCORENigeria has already reported that Rangers are prepared to shell out three million Naira for Udechukwu.
Udechukwu scored 11 goals and Usule fired five goals as katsina United stayed up in the top league last season.
