Katsina United captain Nasiru Sani has said he hopes to justify his call-up by the CHAN Eagles ahead of next month’s qualifiers against either Togo or Benin.
The top-rated leftback is one of several fresh call-ups to the national team camp, who will begin training in Kaduna by this weekend.
“I am very delighted to make the list. It’s a thing of joy,” the all-action fullback told his team’s official website fckatsinaunited.com
“It’s always been my dream to be called up to represent my father land since I was a boy. I am delighted the dream has finally come through.
“I’ll continue to work hard and keep myself in a proper shape for this new challenge because it’s going to be a different experience.”
Nasiru Sani extended his appreciation to the coach of the CHAN Eagles Salisu Yusuf for giving him this chance.
“I want to appreciate the coach of the team Salisu Yusuf for considering me and I’ll do my best to help the team so as to justify my inclusion,” he vowed.
