Plateau United FC returned back to the top of the NPFL table after they defeated Katsina United by 3-0.

Katsina United dominated possession immediately after the goal with Gwammy Eric and Garba Yushau dictating the pace for the away team.

The visitors continued to enjoy possession in the middle of the pack, but their dominance could not produce any positive impact as the first half ended 1-0 in favour of Plateau United.
Barely a minute into second half Kabiru Umar first touch on the ball resulted to Plateau United’s second goal of the day.
Goalkeeper of Katsina United Yinka David should have done better to stop that weak effort.
Both teams made tactical changes to fortify their teams, but it was the hosts who benefited from it as they got the third goal after 81 minutes, when Ambrose J. Long range effort found the back of the net.
