Katsina United goalkeeper Dami Paul has joined the training camp of Super Sand Eagles ahead of the 2017 FIFA Beach World Cup slated for Bahamas.
The former U20 goalkeeper has made seven appearances for Katsina United in the on-going NPFL season and he was in goal on Sunday when his club defeated Enyimba 2-1.
The Super Sand Eagles, who lost to Senegal in the last year’s AFCON Beach Soccer final in Lagos, are training in Lagos ahead of the World Cup in Bahama.
Coach Audu Adamu has invited 20 players to begin camping. The team will play a Four-Nation Pre-World Cup invitational tournament in Senegal before they depart for Bahamas.
Morocco, Nigeria, Cape Verde and host Senegal will feature in the tournament in Senegal.
The 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will run from April 26th to May 4th in the Bahamas.
This is the fifth time Nigeria will be at the Beach World Cup and they are drawn in Group B alongside Italy, Iran and Mexico.
