It will be a fight-to-finish battle when Katsina United host seven-time champions Enyimba in continuation of the NPFL on Sunday.
Katsina United are coming off two disappointing away losses to Sunshine Stars and Remo Stars and so ‘The Chanji Boys’ will throw everything into this game if they wish to steer clear of the relegation zone.
Coach Baldwin Bazuaye was confident his team will turn back Enyimba.
“Enyimba are a very good side no doubt, but we are fully prepared to take them on. The victory against them on Sunday is non-negotiable. By the grace of God we’ll pick the maximum points against them here,” declared the young coach.
Katsina United record at home has been good – five wins and two draws out of seven home games thus far.
Enyimba have not exactly been flying this season but they won their last match at home 2-1 against champions Rangers, which could fire them to do more in Katsina on Sunday.
But like Katsina, ‘The People’s Elephant’ have struggled on the road as they have managed only two points from a possible 24 points.

Katsina United are 16th on the table with 19 points from 16 matches and they are having one outstanding match at home against Rivers United, while Enyimba are sixth on the table with 25 points from 17 matches.
A win for Katsina United in this encounter will boost their points tally to 22 and shoot them back to the middle of the table, but a draw or loss will see them battling with relegation.
On the other hand, a win, draw or loss for Enyimba will still see them maintain a better position on the table.
