Katsina United are delighted they will take some much-needed rest caused by no action this weekend in the NPFL due to the involvement of Rivers United in the CAF Champions League.
‘The Changi Boys’ were scheduled to host Rivers United on Sunday at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
Their next league game is on March 19 at Wikki Tourists in Bauchi.
Officials said they will use the break caused by the shift of the Rivers United clash torest and get several injured players fit again.
“Most of our players are suffering from fatigue and some are down with injury. We want them to use this period to rest very well so that they can be fresh for our next match,” said an official.
No test game is planned during this break.
Last Sunday, Katsina United lost 1-0 at ABS in Ilorin.
They are now ninth on the NPFL table with 16 points picked from 12 matches.
