The Katsina United experienced striker Obinna Eleje has said he has made remarkable progress to recover from a hamstring injury, which kept him out of his team’s last game at ABS in Ilorin.
Katsina United were without the former Enyimba and Nasarawa United striker last Sunday due to a niggling hamstring injury.
“I am gradually coming back to full fitness,” he disclosed.
“In fact I have resumed light training as my injury is healing gradually.
“Hopefully, I will be available for selection very soon.”
He said he welcomes his team will be rested this weekend because their NPFL opponents Rivers United are on international duty.
“It is a very big plus to us at Katsina United that Rivers are engaged in the CAF Champions League,” he said.
“This is an opportunity for us to rest well and be fresh for our next match.”
