Coach Baldwin Bazuaye has said Katsina United will soon be scoring more goals after struggling for some weeks in front of goal.
On Sunday, ‘The Changi Boys’ pipped visiting FC Ifeanyiubah 1-0 to shoot to sixth on the NPFL table with 13 points from nine matches.
However, they have scored as many goals as they have conceded – seven.
“We’ll continue to work on our scoring techniques and pray for luck, God willing we will get it right soon and more goals will come,” Bazuaye promised after his team went past FC Ifeanyiubah in a rescheduled fixture at home.
Exciting midfielder Ashadi Destiny stole the show on Sunday when he fired home a free-kick against Ifeanyiubah after his team-mates had wasted several chances.
“We created a lot of scoring opportunity but the final touch was lacking,” admitted Bazuaye, a dazzling left winger in his playing days.
“It was a big game. Things worked out for us according to plan and we got the most-needed goal in due time.”
