Katsina United captain Nasiru Sani has praised the fans for their total support which helped them to turn away more experienced Nasarawa United at the weekend.
Katsina United recorded their second straight win after they defeated Nasarawa United courtesy of an 80th minute winner by substitute Suleman Musa.
They are now eighth on the NPFL table with six points from three matches.
“It needed a late goal for us to beat Nasarawa and I want to express the appreciation of the entire team to the fans, who continued to push us even when we had not scored,” said swash-buckling leftback Sani.
“The fans are great and I believe they will continue to stand behind us in the league.”
Former Kwara United defender Sani will also commend the experience of coach Bala Nikyu.
“Our coach has brought his experience to bear on this youthful team,” remarked the Katsina United skipper.
“We believe we will continue to do well with him.”
